Kiley's 1st Birthday and Mother's Day 5/8/11

Kiley's birthday fell on Mother's Day this year. Poor girl is going to have to share this day every few years. My mom and Richard came before the party and brought us dinner. That was so nice of her to do especially on Mother's Day.

I want to keep homemade ice-cream a tradition for birthdays in our family. Robert and Holly visited the day before and gave me the beautiful flowers they got from a funeral. They also brought Raylin and Kiley birthday presents. Raylin got a dress up magnet doll and Kiley got a shovel and a pail and bubbles.


Harrison, our cute little guest. He is only 6.5 weeks older than Kiley.


Kiley loved her cake. When we first gave it to her she had a look on her face like "are you sure it is okay to eat this." It didn't take her long to dig in.


She got a little messy, so we put her in her jammies. Here she is opening up her presents.


Grandpa Richard and Grandma Marilyn got her My Pal Scout. It knows her name and her favorite things.


Great Grandma Carma got her a couple balls and a little book. She can sit and look at books for a long time and she loves to play outside with balls.


Uncle Dave, Aunt Jodi, Lucy, and Charlie got her a bubble gun. It is so nice not to have to blow bubbles for her.


Uncle Matthew, Aunt Kathryn, and Harrison got her a cute outfit. It makes her look like a little pink flower.
